Course Description:
This course focuses on the research-for-development partnership needed to build a green, healthy, and resilient future with forests and trees. It explores the role of forest and tree research in addressing future challenges and their impacts on ecosystems, economies, and livelihoods. The course examines key insights from the CGIAR research program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (FTA) and the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) to identify research gaps and emerging issues. It also discusses the importance of knowledge construction and appropriation by different actors in science and decision-making processes.
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will understand the importance of forests and trees in building a green, healthy, and resilient future.
