Course Description:

This course focuses on the invasion of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) into the United States and Canada, exploring early control attempts, regulatory measures, and the search for biological control agents. Attendees will learn about the trials and successes of management tactics and how they can contribute to controlling this pest. Additionally, the course covers the identification and strategies used to eliminate the Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB), including insights into the pest's behavior and the USDA's eradication program.

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will understand the characteristics and life cycle of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and its impact on ash trees.
