Course Description:
This course delves into the benefits of recycling in the construction sector and the use of eco-efficient concretes made from recycled aggregates, steel slags, and low-impact cements. Students will learn about the challenges and opportunities in developing high-performance eco-efficient concretes that not only reduce the environmental footprint but also surpass the properties of traditional concrete. Participants will gain insights into the structural performance, durability, and pore structure distributions of eco-friendly concretes.
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will understand the structural performance and pore structure distributions of eco-friendly concretes using recycled brick aggregates.
2. Attendees will understand the economic, environmental, and social benefits of using fly ash as a partial cement replacement in concrete.
3. Attendees will learn about the financial implications and life cycle cost analysis associated with the use of eco-friendly concrete solutions.
