Course Description:

This course describes how scientists develop plausible and relevant climate futures, taking into account both near and long-term perspectives. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts, methods, and tools used in climate modeling and scenario development. The course will cover topics such as the basics of climate science, the factors that drive climate change, and the challenges involved in developing plausible and relevant climate futures. The course will examine the various techniques and approaches used in climate modeling and scenario development, including the use of climate models, statistical analysis, and scenario planning.


Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will understand the basics of climate science and the factors that drive climate change.

2. Attendees will understand  the implications of different climate futures for various sectors, including agriculture, water resources, human health, and ecosystems.
