Course Description and Credit Information

This lecture gives an overview of the attempts to balance the needs of wildlife with the needs of people using the best available science. This can include game keeping, wildlife conservation and pest control. In addition, it will discuss wildlife conservation which aims to halt the loss in the Earth's biodiversity by taking into consideration ecological principles such as carrying capacity, disturbance and succession and environmental conditions such as physical geography, pedology and hydrology. The webinar will focus on five different animals – their nature, temperament and activities.

Learning Objectives:

1. Increase knowledge about the ongoing research on brown bears 

2. Be taught on the importance of Native Bees on the pollination process.

3. Grasp a better understanding on Sea otter behavior and learn about some endangered species.
