Course Description:
This webinar focuses on the change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. In addition, it will discuss the physical defense that reefs provide in the United States coasts. Also, it will tackle the world's most acid water located in Iron Mountain, California. Lastly, it will explain ecological stressors such as wildlife, drought and sea level rise.
Learning Objectives:
1. Be taught on the ecosystems restoration efforts to reduce risk and increase the resiliency of coastal communities.
2. Grasp the variety of environmental impacts that impact water quality
3. Gain knowledge on alternate energy, urbanization and species connectivity.
