Course Description:
Central Park is the hallmark of Landscape Architecture. This webinar is a design discussion of Central Park with Olmsted's own words. The evolution of central park, Olmsted's thoughts on the purpose of the park, design themes, influence of art, designation of bird sanctuaries, impact of storms on the design, and ecological study are discussed.

1. Understand the how and why central park was designed
2. Comprehend the outside influences such as art on the design
3. Learn the evolution of the park through the years based on human decisions and nature induced decisions
