Course Description and Credit Information
This course focuses on the Net Zero Project, the processes involved, and its significance in creating a school environment designed and constructed to produce as much energy on site as it consumed from the electric grid, electricity and gas bills at 10% or less of a typical school, and no water bills for site and landscaping irrigation. What was impossible 10 years ago, is a reality today due to advanced technologies associated with the production of renewable energy sources.
The course presents information that proved helpful in analyzing the school/area's capability to accommodate renewable energy technologies, the equipment, applications, and systems used to turn the once vision into a reality.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand Net Zero Project and its benefits to the public and the environment.
2. Learn about the effective methods that ensure efficient processes and positive results.
3. For participants to be able to draw their own conclusion for future application.
