Course Description and Credit Information

This course discusses how the beaver makes for a great restoration tool. It also helps shed light on the common questions involving it: where could beaver work? Where are they a problem? What do we do where beavers alone are not enough?

It also talks about the state of the streams, the ecosystems of beaver, when beaver becomes a nuisance, the exploitation of beavers and how they can help restore incised streams, among other topics. This webinar was presented for the National Riparian Service Team.


Learning Objectives:

1. Learn about how beaver can be an effective restoration tool.

2. Understand the benefits and problems that working beavers come with.

3. Know the status of streams and ecosystems of beaver to prepare decision makers for future projects.
