The practice of stormwater management is evolving at federal, state and local levels. Members of the design community in both the public and private sector are looking to permeable pavements as an environmental and sustainable method of mitigating stormwater runoff to reduce pollutants and improve water quality. With option for both Hard Surfaced Monolithic Pavement Systems and Permeable Interlocking Pavement Systems, the possibilities for improving your parking and stormwater retention/detention are nearly endless. 

The presentation will addresses introductions to both Hard Surface Monolithic Pervious Pavement Systems and Permeable Interlocking Pervious Pavement Systems, issues with stormwater runoff, and how both types of systems can affect the end result, objectives of stormwater management and how to design for your goals, evaluating porous pavement solutions, design considerations & elements of both systems, construction/Installation, costs, and maintenance
