Course Description:

This webinar will provide an introduction to various electric light sources. It will discuss the various lamp types, luminaires, lighting ballasts, and lighting controls. A discussion on types of lighting controls will discuss sustainable design concepts and how the controls can be used to reduce energy use.

1. Understand the characteristics of different lamp types.

2. Describe common luminaire types and their application.

3. Understand the different types of ballast and their application.

4. Understand the range of lighting control options available to designers to assist in energy efficiency.
