Course description

This course is designed to provide an understanding of the impact of building materials on the environment and how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from these materials. The course will cover the life cycle of building materials, embodied carbon, and strategies for reducing carbon impacts. The course will also introduce the vision of a longer-term strategy towards a more circular building material sector.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will understand the carbon impacts of building materials and the concept of embodied carbon.
2. Participants will understand the vision of a circular building material sector and its potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
3. Participants will understand how to analyze the life cycle of building materials and identify areas for reduction in carbon emissions.
