Course Description:

This course is designed to provide an overview of the scientific researched aimed at mitigating the negative effects of wind energy on wildlife. It will delve  into the topics of wind energy and wildlife conservation, exploring the scientific principles and strategies that can help reduce the ecological footprint of wind farms. The students will learn about the potential impacts of wind energy on wildlife, including birds, bats, and other species. And, will cover the latest scientific research on the topic, examining the factors that influence the severity of impacts and the best practices for minimizing them. Participants will gain an understanding of the regulatory frameworks governing wind energy development, as well as the policies and practices that can promote sustainable wind energy development.
