Course description
This course will explore the important role that bees play in our food system, society, and environment. Participants will learn about the biology and diversity of bees, the various ecosystem services provided by bees, and the impacts of environmental change on bees and their interactions with plants. The course will also cover issues related to bee health and management, as well as current conservation efforts and challenges facing bee populations.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn different types of bees and can describe their physical characteristics and behaviors.
2. Participants will understand the impacts of environmental change on bees and their interactions with plants.
3. Participants will understand role of bees in society and the environment, and the consequences of their decline for human well-being and ecosystem health.
