Course Description:

This course explores the emerging concept of conscious mobility, emphasizing the integration of user behavior and decision-making into sustainable and smart mobility planning. The course introduces the need for systematic big data collection to bridge the gap in understanding conscious mobility behaviors and avoiding technocentric solutions. 
Additionally, the course will examine the discourse surrounding the ownership of public space, particularly in the context of privatization trends since the 1980s. Attendees will explore how these ownership dynamics influence the quality of public spaces, focusing on observational and perceptual indicators. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will understand the limitations of current sustainable and smart mobility planning approaches, emphasizing the importance of incorporating conscious mobility concepts.

2. Attendees will evaluate case studies representing diverse urban contexts and goals in transforming urban transport systems.
